Weld School

An exciting initiative has been introduced at our Evenwood site to train interested parties with a view to becoming competent welding operators.

Successful applicants will receive on-site training in the areas below.

The areas you will be trained in are:

Ø Health and Safety

Ø Introduction to Welding – Weld set and torch maintenance and consumables

Ø MAG Welding Basics – Volts, Amps, Penetration, Parameter Set Up

Ø MAG Welding – Introduction to Weld Procedures, Standard Operations

Ø Weld Defects – Defect Limits, Causes, Prevention and Repair Procedures

Ø Visual Weld Inspection

Ø Weld Test – 10mm Flare Bevel, 6.5mm Single Bevel, 5mm Fillet Weld

The course will be a mix of on the job and classroom-based training and at the end
of it you will receive a certificate of competence.
